Join a Japanese indigo dyeing workshop using natural materials, at a 100-year-old house deep in the nature of West Tama. Only natural ingredients will be used, including the indigo dye plant which the master grows at the backyard of his house. The location of the atelier contributes to the authenticity of the experience and the tranquility of mind necessary for creating an original piece of art.
Make a natural dye from the leaves of the Japanese indigo plant, and dye your own silk scarf.
You will have the chance to enjoy a relaxing view of a Buddhist temple's Japanese garden while enjoying a cup of green tea and hand-made Japanese sweets, while you wait for your dyed material to dry.
