The city of Osaka, once referred as a 'water city', has 1500 years of history and after Hideyoshi Toyotomi unified the whole country, it became a center of Japan between 16th and 19th centuries.
We will visit Osaka Castle which was built by Hideyoshi Toyotomi and get to know more about this fascinating city and you will find out why Osaka has always been popular as a "nation's kitchen".
As a commercial center of Japan, Osaka has undergone a dramatic economic development. Like Tokyo and Kyoto, Osaka is also a must-visit city.

The Osaka Castle was built in 1583 by Hideyoshi Toyotomi on the site of Ishiyama Honganji temple.
In 1615 the castle fell during the summer siege of Osaka, but was restored by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Unfortunately, the castle tower was struck by lightning and burned down. Later, city residents have donated money to rebuild the current castle tower for the third time. Today, we can enjoy this castle's magnificent stone walls surrounded by vast moats and unique architectural features.
The castle is now a museum, where many precious documents and dioramas are displayed.
Enjoy shopping and taking pictures in famous spots!
Don't miss these picture-worthy billboards of Cuidaore Taro, Glico, Kani Doraku, and Tsuboraya.
This is the first museum in Japan which introduces history and traditions of residential buildings. This museum features re-creations of buildings & streets in Osaka to depict life in the past from the second half of the Edo Period to the years after the World War II (1800~1950) You can enjoy morning, day and nighttime atmosphere through different forms of illumination.
