At "Kyoto Shippo Hiromi Art Higashiyama Store," you can experience making a piece of "Kyoto Shippo," a designated traditional craft of Kyoto. This plan involves carefully finishing a piece of work using a technique called "wired Shippo." Please choose one item of your choice from a pendant, strap, obi clasp, or brooch.
"Wired Cloisonné" is a technique in which thin ribbon-like silver wire is folded onto a silver base, and then the piece is fired to create a design of your choice. This is a professional technique that is also used in cloisonné pieces in museum collections. This course is recommended for those who want to take their time and create their own piece. A large base (pure silver) is used, so even children can draw their own designs. The finished size of the piece is approximately 4cm.
Those under 18 (up to high school students) can experience this experience at a 10% discount off the adult rate.
