About Me: I'm Tobaru, owner of Balfield. I was born in Okinawa Prefecture in 1990. My father and grandfather are from Iheya Island, Okinawa's northernmost island. This island boasts some of Okinawa's most transparent waters, and from a young age I learned about the dangers, joys, and richness of the ocean. Using this experience and knowledge that no other diving establishment can match, I founded Balfield with the desire to help people fall in love with Okinawa through its ocean.
