We, the Samurai Kembu team, are holding a workshop that extracts the highlights of the work so that anyone can enjoy it, because we want Samurai lovers all over Japan and around the world to know the charm of Samurai. Why don't you read the poems, dance their stories, and think about the times when the samurai lived? ☆ At the theater, we have several types of plans where you can appreciate and experience the sword dance, which is one of the traditional Japanese performing arts. ☆ Because it is a program that also supports English, it is popular because it is often experienced as part of sightseeing from overseas. ☆ There are some experiences that you actually dance and some that you appreciate. Please feel free to join us.
A stage performing art, sword dance, that expresses the emotions of samurai and poets with a sword. Since the Meiji era, it has been performed nationwide as a performing art that inherits the samurai culture, and is now known as "Ginkenshibu". There are more than 100 schools nationwide, regardless of age or gender, and we practice every day at various competitions and stage performances. The instructor is Shoga-ryu Ginmaisha or Kotenshindo-ryu Kenshibu, both of whom are leaders of the Kenshibu-ryu school.
The instructors (Kenshibu school teacher qualification holders) who are instructing on a daily basis will tell you what you need to do to stand on the stage and the type of entertainment. After learning how to use swords and swords (basic handling of swords), Japanese steps (walking with swords), how to handle folding fans and how to express them, put on stage costumes and challenge the dance. The performance is a complete workshop and is intended for all ages. We also propose fine-tuning the choreography (difficulty) to suit each individual so that everyone can enjoy and get to know the dance.
A hand disinfectant solution is installed at the doorway. Please note that the customer's body temperature will be measured with a non-contact thermometer at the time of visit, and if the temperature is 37.5 degrees or higher, the visit will be refused. Reservation is restricted to alleviate congestion, and the event is held at 1/3 of the normal time. In addition to 24-hour ventilation, some doors will be opened for ventilation. In the hall, we will thoroughly disinfect the areas of frequent contact with our customers. "Let's make the sword dance known to many people and take root as a traditional performing art." I decided to do so when I was 24 years old. Born in a small sword dance school in Shiga prefecture called Shoga-ryu, when I first had my own classroom, a disciple who was dozens of years older said, "I knew earlier that there was such a wonderful entertainment. I wanted to do it. " About 10 years after that, I was blessed with young sword dancers who had the same awareness of the problem and high aspirations, and thanks to customers who understand the artistry of sword dance, "I want to learn and convey genuine Japanese culture," sword dance little by little. I think that the awareness of is increasing. We will do our best to make you feel the charm of sword dance through our company, to make it widely used as a cultural asset of Japan, and to have fun learning and worth living for many people.
