After looking into the area a bit more, it seems to be near Okashi Goten, which is famous for its purple sweet potato tarts. When I hear "troll," I think of the Dragon Quest monster Boss Troll, and it's fishing with a net. I never thought of fishing in Okinawa, but I think it's a pretty fun leisure activity. It's hard to believe that you can catch tuna, but it would be amazing if you actually did. I'd like to go to a sushi restaurant and invite my friends who only eat tuna. I'm also the type who wants to keep eating only the toppings I like, so I prefer sea bream over tuna. I wonder if I can catch sea bream too.

I'm sure there are many people who have never heard of the activity Marine Walk. It's a marine sport where you can walk underwater using a special helmet, and it's also called sea walking. It kind of makes you feel like an astronaut, doesn't it? You're wearing a swimsuit, though. It's surreal. It's okay even if you can't swim, but I think people who can't swim might be scared of this. Most of my friends who don't like the ocean can't swim, and I don't think they want to do this. I'm worried about whether there is enough oxygen to breathe safely. Even I, who can swim, am rather worried. Anyway, it's a game where you can enjoy the underwater world even if you can't swim.

Time flies and July is already coming to an end in 2018, and our family's first trip to Ishigaki Island, scheduled for September, is fast approaching ♪ Hotels, planes, rental cars, etc. We've made thorough preparations in advance with a package tour from a travel agency, and have been researching what to do during our stay in Ishigaki Island, marine leisure, and activities. I have a friend who is a big fan of kayaking, and as I kept hearing about its charms, I started to become quite interested. I wonder if this is what they call brainwashing. It's dangerous if you don't have a strong will. It's really easy to slip into an opening when you're weak. But I think kayaking is really great and seems fun. By the way, my friend said something like "Now I've practically got a girlfriend." Apparently if you have a kayak, you can get a girlfriend. Well, my friend is pretty good looking, though. I guess it all comes down to looks.

A stargazing and photo tour in the Yaeyama Islands, known as the best area in Japan for observing constellations! This tour will have a staff photographer take photos of you with the stars scattered like diamonds in the night sky! Well, this plan may be more geared towards couples, but my family and I were talking about how it would be nice to have some photos of the beautiful natural scenery as a memory of our trip to Ishigaki Island, and this is my wife's favorite plan. Wow, it's so beautiful!

I found out about it in an Activity Japan email newsletter, but fishing in Okinawa is hot right now. It seems that fishing plans that are a little more light and fun than typical fishing are gaining popularity among tourists. I'm not usually interested in fishing, but after seeing the feature, I remember being a little interested, so I'm thinking of trying it out on my trip to Ishigaki Island. It seems that beginners, groups of women, and families with children can easily participate. I mean, fishing in the emerald green sea is bound to be fun, whether you're interested or not. So I found a plan that I recommend!

The Blue Grotto is really popular! You might think that the Blue Grotto is in Italy, but there is one in Okinawa too. I have dived in the Blue Grotto before, so I can confidently recommend it as an experienced person. When I experienced it, it cost about 9,500 yen, so it is much cheaper to use this plan. What's good about this plan is that it is a boat entry. It is a course where you can go to the diving point by boat. There are so many tours and packages for diving in the Blue Grotto that it's hard to decide which one to choose, but I think the boat entry is quite attractive. The tour I participated in was a beach entry, but it was very hot and difficult to walk up the stairs to the beach wearing a wetsuit, carrying a tank on my back and carrying weights.

Aragusuku Island (Panali Island), which belongs to the Yaeyama Islands and consists of two islands, Shimoji Island and Kamiji Island, does not seem to have any regular ferries, so the only way tourists can land on the island is by taking a boat with an activity experience plan like this. Until I decided to go to Ishigaki Island and looked into various information, I assumed that "trips to Ishigaki Island and trips to Iriomote Island are separate", but it turns out that it takes as little as 30 to 40 minutes to get to Iriomote Island's Ohara Port by direct high-speed boat (ferry)... It also takes about 50 minutes to get there by boat via Taketomi Island. I think a lot of people don't know this. Maybe it's just me lol. The fare is 1,570 yen one way and 2,980 yen round trip for adults (12 years old and over), and 790 yen one way and 1,500 yen round trip for children (6 to 11 years old).

One of the best things about traveling to Ishigaki Island is being able to access the surrounding islands such as Iriomote Island, Taketomi Island, and Kohama Island by high-speed boat. It feels like you're getting a bargain! What's more, the high-speed boats that travel between the islands apparently run several times a day at about the same pace as local buses, so you can just pop over whenever you feel like it. I'm sure there will be island scenery that you can't see in the center of Ishigaki Island, and I'm sure you'll be able to experience a stronger Okinawan culture. I want to drink awamori while listening to the sound of the sanshin (I just want to drink alcohol)

Originally, I was looking for a marine sports activity to enjoy the sea of Ishigaki Island, but in this blog, I will post about a recommended plan for a "Shisa making experience" that I wanted to try once when I went to Okinawa. As a souvenir, I tend to buy a Shisa made by a professional craftsman, and I think that's fine, but if you want to make memories from the making, you want to participate in an experience plan where you can make your own Shisa and a Shisa making class. It seems that you can also reserve a set plan that includes both SUP (stand up paddle board) and BBQ, so if you want to enjoy dinner as well, I recommend that. This is perfect for families like mine, and also for couples' dates and girls' trips. The best part of diving in Ishigaki Island is being able to swim with sea turtles. This is heavily promoted in travel magazines and websites, and I feel like it's now a must-do when traveling to Ishigaki Island (lol). What's more, all the information you look at also mentions that you can land on a spot called "Phantom Island," which only appears at low tide, making this a fantastic plan that's sure to be very satisfying, as it covers all of Ishigaki Island's marine spots. Apparently, Phantom Island is surrounded by emerald green seas as far as the eye can see in 360 degrees, and has a heavenly view. With that said, there's no way you can't go!!

Just as we had decided that our family's destination would be Ishigaki Island, Activity Japan updated their "2018 Ishigaki Island Popular Activity Ranking (Latest Edition)," so we decided to check it out first! Apparently, the popularity of Okinawa's remote islands, such as Ishigaki Island, Miyako Island, and Iriomote Island, has skyrocketed this year. Looking at the rankings, it seems that the classic marine activity, snorkeling, is very popular. The emerald green ocean is probably even more beautiful than on the main island. I'm envious. SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and canoeing, kayaking, and sea kayaking in the mangrove forest also look fun, but will we be able to find a plan that's suitable for children from 3 years old? Iriomote Island has very clear water and is one of the best snorkeling spots in Japan. This tour was a two-seater sea kayak, so I thought it might not be suitable for me, who usually travels alone, but paddling a kayak seems very tiring, so I thought it would be better to have a two-seater so I could take a break when my arms hurt, since I'm not confident in my physical strength. Of course, the rental fee is included in the plan, so you can experience it empty-handed. However, you have to find someone to join you. I've looked up kayaks before, so I'll introduce them here again.
