《Okinawa's best season》 Cheap! Enjoy Okinawa from September to October! Popular leisure, activity and experience plans & recommended shop information

September is here in 2018. Families and students have finished their summer vacations, and from now until October, it will be the "Okinawa travel season for adults" where people take a slightly later summer vacation. In Okinawa, a tropical island where you can feel "perpetual summer" until the end of October every year, the momentum of outdoor leisure activities such as marine leisure to enjoy the coral reef sea and river activities to enjoy the mangrove jungle continues, and we receive many reservations for this season. In addition, compared to the peak Okinawa travel season from July to August, airfare and hotel accommodation fees are relatively reasonable, and the congestion at popular tourist spots is eased, so it is also a season to enjoy "Okinawa travel at a leisurely pace". Therefore, this time, we will announce the "Latest Popular Ranking TOP 10" of events, areas, and experience plans from the reservation data we received from September to October 2018, and also introduce "Popular and recommended shop information" ☀️ Please use it to find September to October activities for groups of friends or girls' trips to Okinawa.

When you think of Okinawa travel, you think of the "Ryukyu Glass Experience"! Want to make your own original beer glass?

As with the Shisa-making experience I introduced the other day, I searched around Naha but couldn't find a suitable shop, so I picked up "Handmade Ryukyu Glass Workshop Okinawa Craft Village," a shop in Yomitan Village in the Chubu area that I'm sure I'll stop by on my drive. It's close to Onna Village so it should be easy to get to. I don't know though. I always buy souvenirs at Okashi Goten in Onna Village, so I'll stop by there! Looking at the plan details, it seems like I can experience glassblowing in a full-fledged workshop. This is it, I want to make a beer mug out of this red Ryukyu glass. This unique color or texture, this is the charm of Ryukyu glass. (I don't know the details at all) And, all I know about this plan is that the experience fee includes the instruction fee, but the work you make will be shipped the next day or later, so it seems you can make your own original glass. There's no information on what you can make in particular, but looking at the photos, I have a feeling that you'll end up making something like a cup or glass or something like that lol

Shisa! Shisa! Just 10 minutes by car from Naha Airport! I decided to try making a Shisa at the end of my trip and discovered a highly recommended class!

Looking at the experience menu at the shop, there seem to be two options, "Shisa painting experience" and "Shisa making experience", but since I had the chance, I decided to make a hand-building experience, since it looked like I'd be able to knead the clay and make my own original shisa, so I made a reservation for this plan. It seems like you can just show up on the day, but I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it makes it easier to plan your schedule without waiting. Okinawa in September is still surprisingly busy with students and foreign tourists (last year, most of the tourists were from Asia, such as Korea and China). The public markets are super crowded!!

The September Ishigaki Island trip activity experience plan has been decided! We will enter a snorkeling experience tour that allows you to enjoy Kabira Bay and the Blue Cave, perfect for families as children from 3 years old can participate!

The appeal of this plan is that you can enjoy snorkeling in both Kabira Bay and the Blue Cave, two of Ishigaki Island's most scenic spots. In addition, it also includes a course where you can play in the basin of a waterfall, which is a bit like canyoning, making it a fulfilling experience that allows you to fully enjoy the sea, river, and the natural beauty of Ishigaki Island. The experience fee for this is 6,000 yen (tax included) per adult and child, which includes not only the guide fee, but also the necessary items such as wetsuits, fins, masks, snorkels, amenities such as shampoo and conditioner, and a proper shower room, so it's a great deal. Another nice point for those who don't rent a car is that they provide a shuttle service within a 10-minute drive of the city hall in the city center. (Although it's hard to imagine what it would be like within 10 minutes on Ishigaki Island.)

Near Diamond Beach in Onna Village, Okinawa! You might try making accessories using natural stones!

It seems to be near a very quiet and beautiful beach called Diamond Beach. Diamond Beach is a good name, I want to go there. It seems like I can enjoy Okinawa to the fullest. There are no jellyfish protection nets or lifeguards here, so please be sure to take care of your own safety when swimming. After looking into the area a bit more, it seems to be near Okashi Goten, which is famous for its purple sweet potato tarts. Making bracelets and eating purple sweet potato tarts near a beautiful beach is very feminine. There seems to be a famous pancake shop. There are a lot of things that girls would like. It's strange that Okinawa has so many sweets that make your mouth water, such as sata andagi and chinsuko. I like them. Not only girls but also children would be happy. I mean, even men like sweet things, don't they? I recommend this place to everyone, it's the best.

Can a beginner like me really catch a tuna? I'm really interested in fishing in Onna Village, Okinawa!

When I hear "troll," I think of the Dragon Quest monster Boss Troll, and it's fishing with a net. I never thought of fishing in Okinawa, but I think it's a pretty fun leisure activity. It's hard to believe that you can catch tuna, but it would be amazing if you actually did. I'd like to go to a sushi restaurant and invite my friends who only eat tuna. I'm also the type who wants to keep eating only the toppings I like, so I prefer sea bream over tuna. I wonder if I can catch sea bream too.

You can have fun even if you can't swim! Did you know that you can experience Marine Walk in Onna Village, Okinawa?

I'm sure there are many people who have never heard of the activity Marine Walk. It's a marine sport where you can walk underwater using a special helmet, and it's also called sea walking. It kind of makes you feel like an astronaut, doesn't it? You're wearing a swimsuit, though. It's surreal. It's okay even if you can't swim, but I think people who can't swim might be scared of this. Most of my friends who don't like the ocean can't swim, and I don't think they want to do this. I'm worried about whether there is enough oxygen to breathe safely. Even I, who can swim, am rather worried. Anyway, it's a game where you can enjoy the underwater world even if you can't swim.

A thorough investigation of popular activities for trips to Ishigaki Island in 2018! Let's take a look back at the top 10 activities, including snorkeling, trial diving, SUP (stand-up paddle boarding), etc. ♪

Hello to everyone reading Activity Japan! Time flies and July is already coming to an end in 2018, and our family's first trip to Ishigaki Island, scheduled for September, is fast approaching ♪ Hotels, planes, rental cars, etc. We've made thorough preparations in advance with a package tour from a travel agency, and have been researching what to do during our stay in Ishigaki Island, marine leisure, and activities. This research blog recently reached its 10th installment, so I'd like to take this opportunity to look back on the plans that caught my eye. In fact, there are some plans that I've already booked, but there are also some plans that I'm still worried about until the very last minute. Time and budget are limited, so I'm going to have to wait a little longer. I'll be archiving previous articles, so if there are any titles that interest you, please check them out.

A sunset sea kayaking experience that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike on a deserted island in Onna Village, Okinawa!

I have a friend who is a big fan of kayaking, and as I kept hearing about its charms, I started to become quite interested. I wonder if this is what they call brainwashing. It's dangerous if you don't have a strong will. It's really easy to slip into an opening when you're weak. But I think kayaking is really great and seems fun. By the way, my friend said something like "Now I've practically got a girlfriend." Apparently if you have a kayak, you can get a girlfriend. Well, my friend is pretty good looking, though. I guess it all comes down to looks.

Decided in September! We have started researching activities that people want to experience on a trip to Ishigaki Island! Number 10 is the "Stargazing Photo Tour" where you can enjoy the starry sky of Ishigaki Island!!

A stargazing and photo tour in the Yaeyama Islands, known as the best area in Japan for observing constellations! This tour will have a staff photographer take photos of you with the stars scattered like diamonds in the night sky! Well, this plan may be more geared towards couples, but my family and I were talking about how it would be nice to have some photos of the beautiful natural scenery as a memory of our trip to Ishigaki Island, and this is my wife's favorite plan. Wow, it's so beautiful!

Decided for September! We have started researching activities that people want to experience on their trip to Ishigaki Island! Number 9 is an increasingly popular Okinawa leisure activity! I want to participate in the "Iriomote Island Fishing Tour" that includes fishing equipment rental!!

I found out about it in an Activity Japan email newsletter, but fishing in Okinawa is hot right now. It seems that fishing plans that are a little more light and fun than typical fishing are gaining popularity among tourists. I'm not usually interested in fishing, but after seeing the feature, I remember being a little interested, so I'm thinking of trying it out on my trip to Ishigaki Island. It seems that beginners, groups of women, and families with children can easily participate. I mean, fishing in the emerald green sea is bound to be fun, whether you're interested or not. So I found a plan that I recommend!

If you're looking for Okinawa diving, the Blue Cave is the place to go! Here are some photos of the experience and some recommended plans!

The Blue Grotto is really popular! You might think that the Blue Grotto is in Italy, but there is one in Okinawa too. I have dived in the Blue Grotto before, so I can confidently recommend it as an experienced person. When I experienced it, it cost about 9,500 yen, so it is much cheaper to use this plan. What's good about this plan is that it is a boat entry. It is a course where you can go to the diving point by boat. There are so many tours and packages for diving in the Blue Grotto that it's hard to decide which one to choose, but I think the boat entry is quite attractive. The tour I participated in was a beach entry, but it was very hot and difficult to walk up the stairs to the beach wearing a wetsuit, carrying a tank on my back and carrying weights.

Decided in September! We have started researching activities that we would like to experience on a trip to Ishigaki Island! Number 8 is "Snorkeling at Aragusuku Island (Panali Island), which can be accessed from Ishigaki and Iriomote Island, is too spectacular..."

Aragusuku Island (Panali Island), which belongs to the Yaeyama Islands and consists of two islands, Shimoji Island and Kamiji Island, does not seem to have any regular ferries, so the only way tourists can land on the island is by taking a boat with an activity experience plan like this. There are about 10 residents living quietly on the island. When we arrived at the island, we found an amazingly beautiful sea and sandy beach, and it looks like we could have fun snorkeling, exploring, or just floating around! The scenery with nothing but sea, sky, and sand looks amazing! Also, it is called the "Island of Fish Legends" and the "Island of Gods", and the sea boasts outstanding transparency, and it seems that you can enjoy a spectacular underwater world with tropical fish and beautiful coral reefs!

activityjapanblog_20180710

Decided for September! We've started researching activities we want to experience on a trip to Ishigaki Island! Number 7 is taking a ferry to Iriomote Island to do mangrove SUP and snorkeling on Barasu Island!

Until I decided to go to Ishigaki Island and looked into various information, I assumed that "trips to Ishigaki Island and trips to Iriomote Island are separate", but it turns out that it takes as little as 30 to 40 minutes to get to Iriomote Island's Ohara Port by direct high-speed boat (ferry)... It also takes about 50 minutes to get there by boat via Taketomi Island. I think a lot of people don't know this. Maybe it's just me lol. The fare is 1,570 yen one way and 2,980 yen round trip for adults (12 years old and over), and 790 yen one way and 1,500 yen round trip for children (6 to 11 years old).
