This is a hand weaving experience that anyone can enjoy, regardless of age or gender, from children to adults! Please come and enjoy the experience in a relaxing space near Nakazakicho, Osaka Umeda.
We had a fun 2.5 hour time att the weaving shop! We could pick so many different colours! My five year old had much fun(she did a bit herself, and then roamed around the shop). Notice that the shop is not so big, so depending on your child I think it should not be too small.

“Amami no Sato” is a tourist facility where you can experience the nature, culture, and lifestyle of Amami, even though it is located on the mainland of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a plan to make an original strap using Oshima Tsumugi thread produced in the workshop in the hall. A strap made by putting a wish written inside the braided cord is very popular as a wonderful souvenir! Why don't you participate in making a strap with your precious thoughts? After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.
奄美の里も初めてでしたが組み紐を体験するのも初めてでうまく出来るか心配でしたが教えて下さる先生が分かりやすく、しかも奄美の方言など教えてくださったりと楽しくお話しながらの体験でした。 組み紐体験の後に奄美の里のお庭を散策して、本場の鶏飯もとっても美味しかったです！
