This tour will take you to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine and a little bit of the Yoshidaguchi mountain trail that starts from there. Explore the roots of climbing Mt. Fuji while feeling the rich nature at the foot of Mt. Fuji! On this tour, you will learn about Mt. Fuji as an object of worship at Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, the starting point of the Yoshidaguchi mountain trail, and then you will climb a little bit at the base of Mt. Fuji. When you think of climbing Mt. Fuji, many people may imagine walking on rugged lava, but the base of Mt. Fuji is full of rich nature. Why not try a little bit of climbing Mt. It is said that there are 700,000 Rhododendron japonicum in Yunomaru, and it is crowded with tourists during peak hours. From the top of the mountain, please enjoy the mountains such as Yatsugatake, Mt. Fuji, and the Alps! Since it is a course for beginners, it is recommended for those with trekking experience and beginners. We will introduce you to flowers and wild birds, trivia about trees, the name of the mountain you want to see, the history of volcanoes, and other specialized stories with easy-to-understand explanations. The Usui Pass was once said to be the most difficult part of the Nakasendo. In this tour, we will aim at the viewing platform from the former Karuizawa Ginza through the promenade of Usui Pass. There is a promenade on the road that goes through the cottage of the grove, and you can reach the viewing platform in about 1.5 hours. From the observatory, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Asama and Mt. Myogi. As this is a handy hiking course, people of all ages can participate. You can freely disperse on the viewing platform, so you can stop at the Kumano Emperor Shrine or take a break at the pass's teahouse. On the way back, you can either return the way you came or take a bus back to the old Karuizawa.
