A matcha experience where you can enjoy matcha and sweets produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a casual style with seating at a table and chairs, and is recommended for those who want to be able to make matcha at home. The instructor will explain how to make matcha, the types of tools and how to use them, and basic hospitality. After enjoying the matcha made by the instructor, you can try making it yourself. The workshop will be conducted in Japanese, but assistants who speak English or German can be provided. Please contact us for other languages. The venue is a private room in a Japanese restaurant, a 5-minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station.

Would you like to try your hand at calligraphy? After choosing your favorite character from the sample and practicing, you can finish by writing it on colored paper to take home. You will then stamp your name in hiragana on your work and it will be complete. After your calligraphy experience, we will provide you with matcha tea and Japanese sweets (nerikiri). If you would like to try making matcha, we will teach you. It will also be a valuable opportunity to enjoy the matcha that you have made yourself.
