The greatest feature of this tour is that it allows you to fully enjoy the pristine nature of Shiretoko, an area with no established walking trails, on snowshoes. Along the way, you'll stop at a viewpoint offering a spectacular view of the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, where you can see the hidden, famous waterfalls gushing from the cliffs, frozen by the freezing cold. During the drift ice season, the Sea of Okhotsk is blanketed in drift ice, creating a breathtaking landscape. The snow-capped Shiretoko Mountain Range towering behind the cliffs is a breathtaking sight. Enjoy the wintertime nature of Shiretoko to the fullest on this tour, where you're likely to encounter wild animals such as Ezo deer and red foxes. Note: Due to the lack of snowfall between early and late December and late March, there's a high chance that you'll be guided in rubber boots instead of snowshoes. In that case, we will offer the same area tour during the snow-free season as "Shiretoko Primeval Forest & Cliff View Trekking" (Adults: 6,000 yen, Children: 3,500 yen). Thank you for your understanding.

In winter, Shiretoko's famous waterfall, Furepe Falls, transforms into blue icicles, and the spray from the falls, whipped by the north wind, creates a mystical formation. Behind Furepe Falls, the snow-white Shiretoko Mountain Range towers, and during the drift ice season from late January to early March, a majestic field of drift ice spreads out below. To reach Furepe Falls, put on snowshoes and walk freely through the forest, searching for forest creatures and their traces. Areas that are difficult to access from spring to autumn become accessible thanks to snow and snowshoes, making this tour a unique opportunity for many new discoveries. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Shiretoko and the snowshoeing experience together. *Due to the lack of snow in early to late December and late March, there is a high chance that you will be guided in rubber boots instead of snowshoes. In that case, we will offer the "Furepe Falls Nature Walk" tour in the same area during the snow-free season (adults: 4,000 yen, children: 2,500 yen). Thank you for your understanding.
