About an hour's drive from Sapporo city. This ski resort boasts some of the best powder snow in Hokkaido and a vast slope. It has the longest operating period of any ski resort in Sapporo, and is open from mid-November to early May every year. It has seven courses that can be enjoyed by beginners to advanced skiers, and a snow park where you can play with sleds and tubes. The beginner-friendly "Rinkan-Merhen Course" is a long course with a total length of 3.6 km and a high level of difficulty. For mogul lovers, we recommend the downhill course with a maximum slope of 30 degrees, and for snowboarders, the board park with jumps such as table tops is recommended. If you are returning via the Minami-ku route, you can also soak in Jozankei Onsen on the way back. This is a snowshoe hiking tour that climbs Shioyama Maruyama in Shioya, Otaru City, Hokkaido near Sapporo. A professional guide will give lectures on the points of winter mountain walking.
