In this lesson you will paint Japanese folk toy "Maneki-neko" made of papier-mache and color a picture of "Momijitani Park 4 Seasons". Papier-mache toys are made of paper pulp or shreds of paper molded into various shapes and colored. They became widely popular during the Edo period. "Maneki-neko" is a figurine of a cat beckoning with an upright paw, which is often believed to bring good luck and loved to this day. White papier-mache maneki-neko will be given and you can paint it to your liking. Let's make your original maneki-neko, only one in the world.
