Visit two local sake bars and taste locally produced sake. Learn about Okayama sake in English, how to drink & taste sake, and enjoy conversing with your guide. Japanese guests can enjoy practicing and conversing in English in a natural setting.

About your guide: Your guide is American, and is a long-term resident of Okayama Prefecture. She is a Japanese sake aficionado and is certified as a Sake Sommelier by the Sake Sommelier Association (London).

Okayama Sake Tasting Tour

Learn about regionally produced sake in English, and taste several varieties for comparision at several local sake bars .. Enjoy drinks with bar snacks and food while having fun with your guide.

Visit local sake bars!

Visit two local bars. Your guide will escort you to one venue that is easy to find, and one that is off-the-beaten track. With the help of your guide, talk to the shop manager to choose your sake.

About your guide

Your guide is a certified sommelier of the Sake Sommelier Association (London). She has translated brochures, PR material, etc for breweries in the prefecture and is knowledgeable about local sake.
