Over 400 years ago, during the Edo period, Yanagawa flourished as a castle town. To build the castle town, moats were built all over the area, and these moats have now become the stage for the river cruise. As you sway on a "donko boat," enjoy the scenery along the course, which changes with the seasons, including cherry blossoms, irises, and autumn leaves. Once you board the boat, a beautiful waterfront view will unfold before your eyes.
