FISH UP behind Tokyo Summerland 3-hour rainbow trout fishing school at Lake Akigawa Near Hachioji, 5 minutes from the Akiruno Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway. First learn how to fish in a pond with many large fish and a small pond for beginners, and an area surrounded by a net, then move on to the large pond. All fishing equipment will be provided, so please come empty-handed. We will prepare lures this time, so we can accept beginners to intermediate players. We can accommodate up to 10 people. In this class, you can experience swordsmanship and archery. The instructor is Yoshiaki Sumita, a teacher of the All Japan Toyama-ryu Iaido Federation. With over 27 years of experience, he has also taught at overseas branches in the United States, Europe, and Hong Kong, and is one of the few teachers in the world who has deeply mastered both swordsmanship and yabusame and continues to pass them down. ~We live by receiving life. Let's learn from chickens, the meaning of "Itadakimasu" ~ [Event content] This is a workshop to dissect a live chicken and turn it into meat. Each person will dissect one chicken. (Staff will support children) Meat is eating the meat of a living animal. The meat we eat every day is originally a living creature. It's a common thing, but in today's world where eating meat is a given, the concept that meat = life tends to become weak. By dissect it with your own hands, you can learn about the process of turning a living creature into meat. As a way to educate children about food and as a stepping stone for those aiming to obtain a hunting license, you will dissect and cook while thinking about "life". For lunch, we will cook fresh eggs from a poultry farmer that morning. *Due to the Food Sanitation Act, we will ask for some help with cooking. ~~ ...The meeting place is a 1-minute walk from the meeting place. After a tour of the facilities, we will introduce ourselves and the lesson will begin. The talk will cover topics such as the chickens whose lives will soon be taken and rural life in the local Akiruno Akigawa Valley.
