This will be an experience tour where you will use a hammer to break down fallen trees that you have captured in your local forest and your own garden to search for adult (hibernating) stag beetles and larvae. As there is a limit to the number of rotten trees, we will be holding individual events for each family, and depending on the number of rotten trees we have in stock, we will be able to accommodate your request, so we look forward to hearing from you. The trapping time is one hour in your home's garden, followed by explanation, splitting the fallen wood, and searching for fallen wood in the nearby forest (near Fuchu and Chofu). Thank you.

This is a summer-only, nightly tour for capturing rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, aimed at small children. It will be held mainly on weekdays when there is less competition. We apologize for the late hour, but we would be happy to help you make summer memories with your children. We look forward to your early reservations. ▼Experience content On the day, we will visit several points and introduce some tips for observation. We will observe rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles. You can see cicadas emerging, long-horned beetles, stag beetles, centipedes, and occasionally raccoons. There are fewer hornets at night, so it is safe. The number of observations varies depending on the weather, but generally ranges from a few to a maximum of several dozen, and the number of observations decreases before and after rain. Please understand that we cannot commit to the number of observations due to the natural environment. All observed insects will be released on site, and we will bring you the same insects captured in the countryside (mainly Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures). ▼Meeting information・Customers travelling by car or on foot: Please come directly to the meeting point at 7pm. *Details will only be provided to guests who have made a reservation.▼DisbandmentThe tour will end around 8:30pm, and you can return by train. Meet at Chofu Station or Fukadai Fureai no Sato and go around 6 spots in the Nogawa River on an electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, children's bicycles are available in various sizes). The tour lasts 2 hours. In the first half, you will fish for carp and catfish with bread. Even children can easily catch them, but the average size is about 60 cm, so you may not be able to catch them. The pull is strong, so please do your best to catch them. In the second half, if the fishing conditions are not good, you will experience searching the river in waders (free fool boots) or marine shoes. The creatures that can be caught are mainly Japanese mitten crabs, Moroko, Minnows, Japanese chibu, Yoshinobori, loach, Ukigori, black killifish, crayfish, and turtles. You can also take them home. Tennen Rishin-ryu swordsmanship, which began in the Edo period, is still passed down today, and at the Tennen Rishin-ryu Hino Dojo, students of the school hone their swordsmanship skills. You too can learn Tennen Rishin-ryu at an actual dojo. The swordsmen who trained Tennen Rishin-ryu in Hino formed the Shinsengumi, which was said to be the strongest group of swordsmen at the end of the Edo period, and were called the last samurai. By experiencing swordsmanship in Hino, the hometown of the Shinsengumi, you can feel the history and culture of the last samurai. The experience program is led by Masao Inoue, a descendant of Shinsengumi leader Genzaburo Inoue and chairman of the Tennen Rishin-ryu Hino Dojo.
