This is Ruri Kobo, a workshop in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, where you can experience making accessories. This plan is a gel candle making experience that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike! Why not make your own candle by putting sand, marbles, shells, and glass miniatures into your favorite glass? ~Experience process~ ① Reception: Reception is at Ruri Kobo on the 2nd floor of Akita Furusato Village. Please be sure to tell us your name. ② Size selection: Choose the size and shape of the glass. ③ Put sand into the glass and create a pattern. ④ Decoration: You can use as many marbles, shells, and stones as you like. As an additional option, you can choose and put in a glass miniature (from 550 yen). (There are always more than 100 types of glass miniatures) ⑤ Finishing: The staff will pour the gel candle into it and it's complete. *What you can make* ・S size: 1,600 yen ・M size: 2,000 yen ・L size: 2,400 yen

Bright and friendly professional staff will help you together according to the speed of each person. ☆ Using 400g of Mino ware soil, turn the potter's wheel to make a container. ① Teacup ② Hot water only ③ Free cup ④ Small plate ⑤ You can choose your favorite shape from the small bowl. ☆ In the experience, we will use a hand-cranked potter's wheel, but we will lecture on the same "watering" technique as the electric potter's wheel. You can make a work that is the same as an electric potter's wheel even with a hand-cranked potter's wheel. ☆ You can also paint with Tetsusai hands. There was a time when fabric and garment were very precious and hard to get. People who lived in north part of Japan needed to repair or mend for their garment and make protect from cold season. They stitched several layers of cloth carefully stitch by stitch. Sashiko is a technique that was born from this and nowadays become one of traditional handicraft which was born from taking good care of things and the wisdom of life. At that time, there were no schools, and Sashiko was passed down from parent to child. Therefore, there is not just one technique, but multiple techniques. The repair method is the same. Here we would like to introduce some of the sashiko mending and darning techniques. Please use it for various purposes such as repairing precious clothes, making use of leftover cloth, and making art. You can take the coaster away. Please enjoy the stitching!!
