This field mainly produces Gassan Nishiki, the highest quality variety of yellow cherries known as the queen of cherries. Gassan Nishiki has a high sugar content, and can reach nearly 30% sugar when fully ripe. It is a difficult variety to grow, and is rarely available on the market. Guests who use the Gassan Nishiki field can also use the general fields (red cherries) and the Nanyo field (the highest quality variety, mainly Nanyo).
