This is a 2km walk to see the unusual "Furepe Falls", a waterfall that falls directly into the sea from a cliff gap. On clear days, the Shiretoko mountain range is beautiful here. You can also see how the Shiretoko 100 Square Meter Movement is restoring the former development site to forest. It is often possible to see Ezo deer and wild birds here. The trail may be closed due to brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile phone and offer you cancellation (free of charge) or an alternative course (same price), or a different date and time, if you wish. If the trail is closed after you meet at the site, we will offer you an alternative course (same price) that is available for the remaining time.

During the snowy season, you will walk through Shiretoko National Park, a World Heritage Site, on snowshoes. If there is no snow, you will walk without snowshoes. You will walk through natural forests and see waterfalls and giant icicles flowing into the Sea of Okhotsk, and depending on the season, drift ice. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds. You may also see eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are designated as natural monuments. In the event of a blizzard or other bad weather, we will contact your mobile device and, depending on your preference, we will cancel the tour or reschedule the tour after the weather has improved.

This trekking tour covers all of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a special protected area of Shiretoko National Park, including the elevated boardwalk. This is the first groundbreaking forest adventure experience in Japan, where licensed guides guide you through areas where brown bears live. You can observe not only the lakes, but also the seasonal changes in nature, such as Ezo deer, Ezo red foxes, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. Since the animals are not fed, all the creatures you encounter are real wild animals. Roads and trails may be closed due to brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile device and offer you cancellation (free of charge) or alternative courses (same price), or alternative dates and times, if you wish. Walk through the virgin forest on snowshoes and view the cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Explore Lake Two and Lake One of the Shiretoko Five Lakes on a ground walkway, then return via an elevated boardwalk. As you walk along the walkway, you can observe the nature that changes with the seasons. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds.
