"Otofu" is one of Kyoto's representative ingredients. We will make soy milk and okara, and make everything from "Oboro tofu" to "Momen tofu". The freshly made "Oboro tofu" is exceptionally delicious, and can only be tasted during this experience! The finished "Otofu" will be boiled in hot water and enjoyed. *The experience will be a collaborative effort in groups of 2-3 people. [Note: Regarding supported languages] Reception and experience guidance at our facility will be in Japanese only. Please note that you will be given a textbook in the relevant language and guidance will be provided using a translation app and gestures.

Experience Japanese home cooking in the Arashiyama area of Kyoto. This class begins with carefully preparing dashi (soup stock), the foundation of Japanese cuisine, from kelp and bonito flakes. Then, together, you'll make miso soup, rolled omelet, seasonal side dishes, and sushi rolls featuring wagyu beef and seafood. The instructor is a registered dietitian and mother of three. The lessons are focused on nutritional balance and health, making them easy for beginners to participate. All ingredients are provided, and a recipe and dashi pack are included as a souvenir.
