The Meiji-era playhouse "Korakukan" was built in 1910 as a welfare facility for Kosaka Mine employees. The exterior of the building is Western-style, while the inside is purely Japanese. It features a rare mix of Japanese and Western styles for a playhouse. You can experience the history and culture of Kosaka Mine by touring the Kosaka Mine Office, built in 1905.
