Take a relaxing two-seater kayak down the Tokachi River, a large river that flows slowly for about 6 km. You are in charge of rowing yourself! The guide will support you in a separate kayak. Let's go on a river trip together ^^ If you're lucky, you might encounter rare wild birds such as the red-crowned crane or the white-tailed eagle, or even observe the willow tree, which has a very small habitat in Japan! We also recommend looking out over the majestic Hidaka Mountains from the river for a beautiful view. On the way, in Nakasu, you can collect obsidian (Tokachi stone) that can only be found here and take it home as a souvenir! ! This tour takes you through Lake Tofutsu from the water in a kayak with a registered guide knowledgeable about the conservation of the lake. (*In Lake Tofutsu, the general public cannot use water such as kayaking.) The tour period is three months from June to August, when it is assumed that kayaking and other activities will have the least impact on wild birds. . Before boarding a kayak, participants will learn simple preliminary knowledge through videos and lectures at the Lake Tofutsu Waterfowl and Wetland Center (Ministry of the Environment) before heading out on the water. In order to monitor the ecosystem from the water, the guide will keep records of the appearance of wild birds and aquatic plants during the tour, so participants will also be asked to cooperate. Canoeing and ice play in the pure white Kushiro Marsh under the 946 blue sky. This is your chance to encounter the fantastic Kushiro Marsh!!! The field is the "Alekinei River", a tributary of the Kushiro River that flows through Kushiro Marsh National Park, and "Lake Toroko", the largest lake in the Kushiro Marsh. The canoeing starts from Lake Toroko and takes about 60 minutes of river watching, going back and forth on the Alekinei River. The narrow and shallow Alekinei River is the perfect spot to find wild animals and winter wonders. Enjoy the delicate winter objects that can only be seen by canoeing and the silence that can only be experienced by canoeing.
