<About the experience> You will create your own original yellow handkerchief using dye from the Fukuki tree, which grows near the coast of the southern island. Fukuki is also known as the "Tree of Happiness." We will provide the handkerchiefs for you. <What is Oshima Tsumugi?> Each individual thread is meticulously colored, and a pattern is only created when the vertical and horizontal threads intersect. <About the experience plan> You will weave an original piece using an actual Oshima Tsumugi hand loom. This plan does not involve matching traditional patterns, but rather allows you to choose your favorite colored threads (kasuri threads) to create a striped piece.
