What you'll doYou have an experience of Sashiko embroidery stitching through making "Sashiko fukin"."Sashiko fukin" is known as dish towel in Japan and very popular Sashiko learning item for novices. This item is very practical. After finishing to make, you can use it as handkerchief, lunch mat, wrapping something like sandwich, flower base mat etc.The size is approx. 33cm×33cm.Although you cannot finish the stitching during the experience, you will get knowledge and skill how to complete it by yourself. Therefore you can enjoy the stitching even at home.Step 1: Choose a Sashiko pattern and a thread color.I've provided you with many sort of Sashiko cloths which is printed on a fabric and thread colors. Please enjoy picking your favorite one out.Step 2: Preparation.I introduce how to treat for a fabric and a thread before doing stitch.Step 3: Do Sashiko stitching.After showing my demonstration to you, you will start stitching on the cloth you chosen. This time makes you enjoy and relax!Step 4: Explain Sashiko basic role and tips.Before closing the session, I explain about general order of stitching, things to watch out for, tips and so on.

The design is completed by adding dried flowers or glittering materials to the handle of the ballpoint pen. Finally, add oil and put the cap on to finish. The ballpoint pen itself writes well, and there are many colors to choose from for the bottom of the pen. I make a lamp shade by making a string of hands. Once you make the shape, I will dry it slightly and cut it to your favorite design. The light leaks from the hollowed out portion. It is a bit busy as we make and cut at the same time but it can be enjoyed enough. For calligraphy (making works with a brush), you choose your favorite characters, words, and typeface from several models such as kanji, kana, and waka. After practicing calligraphy styles and points, make a clean copy. Decorate with calligraphy glitter (*) as you like. *While drying the product developed exclusively for our atelier to decorate calligraphy, let's do the seal engraving (making a seal to engrave names and words). Our atelier is characterized by engraving on special soft rubber that can be handled easily and safely. For those who want to make a seal (stamped on the bottom left of the work), the instructor will propose a design based on your name in kanji or kana. Those who want to make a sign (stuffed on the top right of the work) will choose from several auspicious words. Welcome to Japan! This is a special plan for travelers from overseas at the glass craft sandblasting headquarters classroom. Let's make a wonderful original glass with sand-scraped glass sculpture. "Sandblasting" means to scrape by blowing sand. It is similar to Edo Kiriko, but the feature is that you can freely carve your favorite pictures and handwritten letters. Even if it's your first time, even if you don't have an artistic mind, you can create a wonderful work with a high degree of perfection! It takes only about 100 minutes to complete and is ready to take home. You can engrave Mt. Fuji, traditional Japanese patterns, names and dates on the glass, so it's perfect for traveling in Japan. *This plan is for foreigners, but Japanese people are also welcome to participate.
