Enjoy making a cup with a constellation appearing on its surface. It is a modern adaptation of the traditional technique known as Hotarute, and when a light is placed inside, the light shines through and appears. Once the shape is created by hand-forming (making the board), the constellation is inserted and the piece is complete. Our staff will provide you with careful support. There is a coordinate template for the 12 constellations, so it is easy to determine the hole positions. Our staff will assist you with the other constellations. ■ Course Outline 1. Preparation and Explanation (10 minutes) 2. Hand-forming (30 minutes) 3. Drawing the constellation and drilling holes (20 minutes) 4. Firing and completion 2 months later * Glazing and firing are left to us

By taking this class, you will not only learn about cooking but also gain a deeper understanding of Japan especially koji and miso, which are basis of Japanese cuisine and longevity, making your travel even more special!The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station, the heart of Tokyo. You won't be annoyed by the weather condition! The kitchen is beautiful. In the beginning, there is a lecture about Japanese fermented foods (especially koji and miso) then we cook lunch together:- Rice- Miso soup- Main dish (Sautéed chicken or deep fried tofu (for vegans)- Two vegetable side dishes- Dessert* The venue might be changed to other areas in Tokyo. We will inform you when we receive your booking.* Vegan version is available but we will share the kitchen with non-vegan version. Please ask for vegan option before you apply.
