The time spent around the fire, talking and tasting in a rustic hut with the scent of the sea wafting will be a unique cultural experience that you can't get anywhere else. In 2023, female divers' fishing techniques will be registered as a "Japan Heritage" and it is a rare fishing method only found in Japan and Korea. This is an extremely rare private plan that allows you to experience the "real sea" with all five senses while experiencing the life of female divers.

Why not try writing characters with all your heart and soul using a large brush held in both hands, like the ones you only see on TV and in magazines? The characters you create as you run around barefoot on a piece of paper bigger than a tatami mat will be a lifelong memory! The instructor, calligrapher Mikami, has a father and mother who are also calligraphers, and has been familiar with calligraphy since childhood. Mikami is very creative and energetic. Not satisfied with ordinary calligraphy paper, he runs around freely on the large calligraphy paper with a large brush held in both hands, and the characters he creates with his whole body are soon becoming a specialty of Naganuma Town. He also performs at Naganuma Town's summer festival and sunset market, and sometimes collaborates with local musicians. This program was created not only to show people this fun, but also to let them experience it. Participants are first surprised by the weight of the brush filled with ink, and are very satisfied with the characters they write with all their heart, sweating. The written characters take time to dry, and there are limitations on where you can hang them. You may only be asked to take a photo in front of the work. Naganuma Town is a town of art! There are many artists and craftspeople here. Naganuma Town is about an hour's drive from Sapporo, and you can experience the finishing touches of the traditional craft "Wakasa chopsticks"! The final step in making Wakasa chopsticks is polishing. Colorful painted patterns and mother-of-pearl appear on the black lacquered chopsticks.
