Snowshoes This course is for first challengers. Since it is a flat course with no big ups and downs, children can participate. Lunch is taken in a covered place. Snowshoe This course is perfect for those of the first challenge. We use a forest road to the winter closure to become Ashioi virgin forest, because it is a great up-and-down even without a flat course, participation of children is also OK. Furthermore lunch will take is a space with a roof, it is safe even in the snow is pouring! Please leave your footprints in the snow surface without footprints. We will trek through the snowy mountains to see the impressive frozen waterfalls and the beautiful ice art that forms in caves, the ice stalagmites. This area of the Omine mountain range is a mountainous area with low temperatures, and in the coldest seasons, large waterfalls over 30 meters can freeze over. Depending on the conditions of the day, we will visit two or three frozen waterfalls and ice stalagmites. An experienced guide will accompany you and you will walk at a leisurely pace. No special mountaineering skills or experience are required, but you will need to be physically fit to walk about two hours up and one and a half hours down. This tour is also for people who have the right equipment for trekking and mountain climbing enthusiasts.

This is a snow trekking trip to see a large icefall with a drop of 50m or more. In the mountainous areas of southern Nara Prefecture, icefalls form here and there during the winter, but this one is the largest. There are places where it is difficult to walk on the snowy mountain trails, so we wear light crampons and walk slowly with the guide. The walking time is about 1 hour uphill and 40 minutes downhill, walking slowly while taking pictures.
