The Nakagawa River in the Miyahara district of Nasukarasuyama City, known as the Arashiyama of the Kanto region, has a picturesque scenery. The current here is very calm, so even those who are new to kayaking can have a fun and safe kayaking experience. The Naka River, which originates from the Nasu Mountain Range, has a total length of approximately 150 km. It is one of the clearest streams in the Kanto region, flowing through Tochigi and Ibaraki prefectures and flowing into the Pacific Ocean from Oarai. During the tour you will see many plants, wild birds and fish. In autumn, you can also see wild salmon migrating upstream. The first sea kayak (a wide variety of sea kayaks are available) Lake Chuzenji is located in Nikko National Park and is a dammed lake created by the eruption of Mt. Nantai 20,000 years ago. It is the highest lake in Japan with a circumference of about 24km, an area of 11.62km2, a maximum depth of 172m, a lake surface altitude of 1269m, and an area of 4km2 or more excluding artificial lakes. Because of this environment, the scenery of the four seasons, the magnificent view of Mt. Nantai from the lake, and the clear blue lake water are exceptional, and it is a world that I long for even if I am not a kayaker. Some people may want to ride a sea kayak but are scared of the sea, but you can try sea kayaking on the lake. It is a project where you can fully enjoy the nature of Lake Chuzenji in Oku-Nikko in one day.
