Various wild birds visit depending on the season It is a very famous river among bird watching lovers. You can see various wild birds in each season, including herons and sandpipers. The photo shows the beautiful migratory bird "Seitaka Shigi", nicknamed "The Lady of the Waterside".
Creatures living in the mangrove area The cute "Barred mudskipper" that jumps on the surface of the water, "Okinawa Anajako" that makes a big mountain house, "Fiddler crab" that is beckoning with big scissors, "Shirenashijimi" that is a surprising size that I have never seen, etc. Various creatures are waiting.
You can see 4 kinds of mangrove trees Four types of mangrove trees are distributed on the main island of Okinawa, and only the Okukubi River can observe all four types of precious trees! It is the only mangrove kayak field in the prefecture. The photo shows the endangered "Lumnitzera racemosa"
