This Japanese tea-themed program, popular among tea lovers, offers a traditional tea ceremony and a tasting of three rare teas in a sophisticated tea room in Kyoto's Higashiyama district. In the first half, you'll quietly observe a traditional tea ceremony performed by an experienced Western Sencha master, carefully explaining the meaning behind the mannerisms and tea utensils. Enjoy a moment of elegance as you savor the mellow Gyokuro tea brewed in the tea ceremony, savoring its rich aftertaste. The second half transitions to a tea tasting led by a professional tea sommelier. We'll serve freshly brewed three rare Japanese teas, comparing their aromas, origins, and brewing methods. Accompanied by traditional Japanese sweets, this program allows you to fully experience the depth of Japanese tea culture through all five senses. Seating is chair-style (no need to sit upright), and multilingual support is available. Beginners are welcome in small groups (maximum 8 people), and there will be time for an open Q&A session with the two hosts.
