Located within Bonshuku U, a cultural exchange facility with a Nishimonai Bon Odori theme that opened in April 2025 in Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture, this Finnish-style storehouse sauna was renovated from a former storage facility. This plan is for the public sauna. Experience the world of Nishimonai Bon Odori with this sauna, featuring original sauna hats with a straw hat motif, sauna ponchos with an indigo-dyed yukata motif, sauna rooms where Nishimonai Bon Odori music plays, and a free-flowing underground water bath, the same water used to brew the famous sake "Wakagaeri" served to dancers during the Bon Odori period.
This Finnish-style sauna (maximum capacity 6 people) was renovated from a storehouse that is over 100 years old. It is equipped with a sauna where you can do self-loyly, a cold bath with groundwater (soft water) flowing through it, and an open-air bathing space, and in winter you can even enjoy snow diving. | Matters require attention | ・Our sauna requires a reservation. Walk-ins are not accepted, so please make your reservation in advance. ・Use time includes time outside the sauna. Please use the sauna within your reserved time, including time for changing and preparation. ・Even if you are late for your reservation, your use will be limited to the time frame of your reservation. (For example, if you are 30 minutes late for a reservation between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, you will still be able to use the sauna until 3:00 PM.) ・Drinking, smoking, and eating are prohibited in the sauna area. Please follow these rules to ensure a comfortable experience. ・Bathing in underwear is prohibited. Please be sure to wear a swimsuit. ・While you may enjoy self-loyly, please refrain from pouring large amounts of water at once, as this may damage the sauna stove. ・Please handle the equipment and fixtures in the sauna area with care, as you may be responsible for repair costs if damaged. ・Please refrain from using the sauna if you are unwell or extremely intoxicated. ・If you fail to follow these rules, you may be asked to leave. A sauna in a storehouse that is over 100 years old A 100-year-old storehouse that was once used as a storage facility has been renovated into a sauna.
Finnish sauna with self-loyly function In the sauna room, where the music of the Nishimonai Bon Odori festival is playing, you can also enjoy self-louvering with aromatic water.
Groundwater bath A free-flowing underground water bath that was also used for sake brewing at the "Wakagaeri" sake brewery, which was once run by a branch family.
Outdoor bathing space Infinity chairs are available in the outdoor bathing space.
