Fukushima Silk Road Journey - 6-Night, 7-Day Plan - Private (Exclusive) & Guide-Interpreter Accompanied - Ideal for Inbound Tourists - Create a One-of-a-Kind Silk Stole - Learn about the traditional sericulture and weaving culture and techniques of the Tohoku region from an instructor, while receiving instruction in crafting your very own silk floss stole. This 6-night, 7-day journey offers a unique experience, unique to a region where the entire process from silkworm eggs to weaving still exists. The workshop that serves as your base of operations includes a guesthouse with a private kitchen, a gallery, and a vegetable garden. Day spas, restaurants, and supermarkets are all within walking distance, making it a convenient base for your stay. This program will help you create a second home that you'll want to return to again and again through history, culture, fashion, and food. Portable translators are available for rental during your stay, allowing you to further deepen your interactions with instructors and local residents.
This special experience of learning about the process from the moment silk is born to the moment it takes shape as fabric will enrich your travel memories.
This facility was renovated from an old house a few years ago. You can rent a room with a kitchen, a toilet with a washlet, and two beds exclusively.

Time schedule
Meeting place and experience location: Yogasaka Kobo Oriori Meeting time: After 10:00 (can be adjusted upon request) The meeting place is an old house where the satoyama air flows quietly and the clear morning light shines in. There is a wide range of workshops available, including making fresh lotion using sericin, a moisturizing ingredient extracted from raw silk cocoons, making silk floss, sericulture, and dyeing with plants and indigo. All experiences are limited to small groups.
