"Phantom Island" is a popular spot that many say "Anyone who comes to Ishigaki Island should visit at least once!" Until now, our tours have focused solely on sea turtles. However, we've received many requests from our guests to visit Phantom Island during their Shimajikan trips, so we've finally created a new plan! This ambitious plan combines our popular sea turtle snorkeling with a visit to Phantom Island, offering a special experience. Enjoying both a high chance of encountering sea turtles and the breathtaking scenery of Phantom Island, all in one, is a truly satisfying experience. 1. What is Phantom Island? Hamajima, an uninhabited island known as "Phantom Island," is a spectacular spot surrounded by emerald blue waters on all sides. Its mysterious appearance changes with the tides, allowing you to enjoy a different view each time you visit. Because it's a special place accessible only by boat, landing on it will be a lifelong memory. The scenery during the cruise and the relaxing time spent on the island are also appealing. Even non-swimmers and those with children can enjoy this tour with peace of mind. ② Marine Shop Shimajikan's sea turtle snorkeling course offers a high chance of encountering sea turtles! Our experienced staff will do their best to find them and ensure a safe experience. Thorough advance instruction on equipment usage and precautions is provided, so beginners and those with weak swimming skills can participate with peace of mind. Enjoy not only sea turtles, but also the tropical underwater world, including beautiful coral and colorful tropical fish. *Please note that access to the sea turtle spot may be unavailable depending on the sea conditions on the day. If you are unable to reach the spot, you will instead snorkel around the coral reefs. We will contact you by phone or email the day before or on the day. *The target age for snorkeling is between 2 and 65 years old. Guests who are not eligible will be required to wait on the boat after the phantom landing and during the snorkeling. *Same-day reservations are accepted up to 3 hours before the start time. We may decline your reservation even after it has been confirmed. [Tour Schedule Information] ■ Departure Times: Morning: 8:00 AM, Afternoon: 12:30 PM. If you are meeting at the departure point, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. If you require a pick-up service, the pickup time varies depending on the area. You will receive an email or message upon booking or the day before. As a guideline, we will pick you up 1-45 minutes prior to departure. ⸻■ Tour Details (Duration: Approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes): Departure ↓ Landing on the Phantom Island (approximately 20-30 minutes) or Snorkeling (approximately 45 minutes) ↓ *The order of landing and snorkeling will be determined based on the best sea conditions on the day ↓ Return to port (Morning: approximately 10:45 AM / Afternoon: approximately 3:15 PM) *The duration and content of the tour may change depending on the weather and sea conditions.
