"Private Tour for Groups" "Private whale watching & tropical fishing departing from Fisherina in Chatan Town." "Tropical Fishing" is a private boat charter experience for just one group. Recommended for those who want to make their stay in Okinawa a special one or for those looking for a private space to themselves. Unlike typical shared boat tours, you won't have to worry about other people. This private course will guide you through the ultimate Okinawa vacation experience. "Whale Watching" Every winter, humpback whales return to Okinawa to breed, marking the most exciting season in Okinawa's oceans! Board the comfortable, fully-chartered boat "Haisai" and search for whales while enjoying the beautiful Okinawan coastline. In summer, they travel long distances to the Bering Sea, their feeding ground, and in winter, to raise their young and breed. Humpback whales are one of the largest mammals in the world, reaching lengths of 10 to 15 meters and weighing up to 30 tons. You'll be mesmerized by the whales' performances, such as blowing, when their huge bodies emerge from the ocean and forcefully send up spray, diving with their tails raised high, and jumping, known as breaching. Sometimes you'll even get to see them flapping their fins and tails in the air or splashing on the water, a charming sight. If you're lucky, you might even get the chance to see a baby whale being brought by its mother, or the dynamic spectacle of a male repeatedly breaching to court a mate, known as a "heat run."
The boat used for the course is a new boat, the Yamaha YFR-27HMEX, delivered in 2024. It comes equipped with a toilet, shower, air conditioning, a cabin, and a sunshade awning, making it safe for women and children. It can accommodate up to 10 people, with a maximum of 8 guests excluding the captain and staff. It is the perfect size for a private charter for a group. The engine is Yamaha's latest model, the V6 Model F250N, and uses gasoline instead of diesel, resulting in clean exhaust fumes and no noticeable odor or noise.
The course organizer is a CMAS instructor (diving), ISA instructor (surfing), SUPA instructor (SUP), Chatan Fisheries Cooperative Association member (diver fisherman), and Okinawa marine sports instructor with over 23 years of experience (as of 2025), and is a specialist in the ocean, so he has devised a course that will allow guests to enjoy the Okinawan ocean even more. The staff are also certified by the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission, so you can enjoy the course with peace of mind.
The port is in the popular town of Chatan, with many resort hotels, shopping centers, and restaurants. Chatan Fisherina is the closest to the tourist spot, American Village, making it extremely accessible and atmospheric. This half-day course has two departures per day, with morning and afternoon options available, so it's perfect for those who want to make the most of their time after arriving in Okinawa, or for the morning of their final day, or for those with busy plans during their stay. Photography and rental items are all included in the price (four sets of fishing rods are provided). This plan includes everything you need for tropical fishing: fishing rods, reels, bait, tackle, life jackets, hand towels, ice, etc. (four sets of fishing rods are provided).

The boat is a new one that will be launched in 2024, and is the perfect size for a group to charter. The boat used for the course is a new boat delivered in 2024, the "YAMAHA YFR-27HMEX." It is equipped with a toilet, shower, air conditioning, cabin, and sunshade awning, so it is safe for women and children. It can accommodate up to 10 people, but up to 8 guests can board, excluding the captain and staff. It is just the right size for a group to charter. Time schedule
Chatan Fisherina gathering and reception On the day of the course, please arrive at Chatan Fisherina by the meeting time. If you are coming by car, please use the paid parking lot on-site. There is no shuttle service, so please meet at the boat. Upon arrival at Chatan Fisherina, please come directly to the boat (boat name: Haisai) and a staff member will check you in. There is a dry room where we can store your luggage and valuables that will be difficult to get wet. However, please note that we cannot be held responsible for damage to cameras, laptops, or other personal belongings due to the rocking motion of the boat while underway. There is a changing room inside Uminchu Warp, which is available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. For safety reasons, high heels and platform shoes are not permitted on board.
Departure Once you're ready, put on your life jacket (wearing a life jacket is required by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) and set sail to enjoy your Okinawan ocean cruise. The sailing time will vary depending on the sea conditions on the day and the destination. For safety reasons, please follow the instructions of the captain and staff on board.
Arrived at the point and started tropical fishing Once you arrive at the fishing spot, enjoy the Okinawan blue sea to your heart's content. Please be sure to check the tropical fishing and fishing spot explanations and precautions. Don't worry, our staff will always be by your side to support you. We will guide you according to the conditions of the day and the guests. We will also take photos with a camera, and photo data will be provided to you free of charge. Of course, you can also just relax on the boat without fishing.
Tropical fishing ends and we move to another spot After tropical fishing, whale watching will begin. Please note that the schedule may change depending on the sea conditions and whale sightings on the day.
Whale watching begins Whale watching begins. Look for whales swimming with your naked eyes. Sometimes you'll encounter one within 15 minutes of leaving port, but sometimes it can take more than an hour.
Whale watching ends, departure from the point After whale watching, enjoy a cruise from the point to Chatan Fisherina. Don't forget to wear a life jacket on the way back. If you get cold from the wind, you can stay comfortable inside the cabin. We do not recommend that people who are prone to seasickness enter the cabin.
Arrival at Chatan Fisherina After arriving at Chatan Fisharina, please pack your bags and make sure you don't leave anything behind. Please also ask the staff how to receive your photos on the day. (We ask you to post a review.) After getting off the boat, you may still feel like you are being rocked by the waves. Please be sure to watch your step and check for safety.
Dissolution After the tour ends, if you are staying in a nearby hotel, please return directly. If you need to change clothes, please use the changing room in "Uminchu Warp." The changing room in "Uminchu Warp" is open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
