While learning basic calligraphy techniques, you will have the opportunity to freely write Zen proverbs, Japanese idioms, or even your own name. At the end of the experience, you will receive a traditional Japanese fan with your chosen characters or phrases inscribed on it to take home. ~Experience Schedule~ 1. First, learn posture and brush holding. Stand quietly, straighten your back, regulate your breathing, and pick up your brush. This is a preparation time to become one with your tool and your mind. 2.
