Plan description

Homespun, a handicraft that has been passed down in Iwate since the Taisho era. Morioka is the only place in Japan where homespun is hand-spun and hand-woven. This is a great experience program where you can touch soft wool and experience the thrill of weaving a coaster with yarn that you have spun yourself. The instructor will carefully support you and help you complete your own original work. It can be experienced by a wide range of people, from children to adults. ~Experience flow~10:30 Explanation of the flow10:40 First, let's spin the yarn! Choose your favorite color of wool and experience spinning the yarn! You will be excited by the process of making yarn from sheep's wool. 11:00 Make a coaster using a tabletop machine Let's weave the spun yarn into a coaster that is just for you. 12:00 Completed *The afternoon class will follow the same pace.

You can choose your favorite color to spin the thread to weave into your coaster. You can see the fluffy wool turn into a single thread right before your eyes. You will weave the spun thread into a coaster, and you can take the thread home as a souvenir.

Most of the people who try it are beginners. Don't worry if you're not good with hands. The instructor will support you kindly and carefully. People of all ages, from small children to seniors, can try it.
