In summer, they travel long distances to the Bering Sea, which is their feeding ground, and in winter, they travel long distances to the coastal waters of Okinawa to raise their young and breed. Humpback whales are one of the largest mammals in the world, with a total length of 10 to 15 meters and a weight of 30 tons. You will be fascinated by the performances of the whales, such as blowing (spouting) when their huge bodies appear on the surface of the sea and blow up a lot of spray, diving with their tails raised high, and jumping called breaching. Sometimes you can see their charming gestures of flapping their fins and tails in the air and splashing on the water surface. If you're lucky, you may have the chance to see a baby whale being brought along by its mother, or the dynamic spectacle of a male whale repeatedly breaching for courtship, known as a "heat run."

The boat used for the course is a new boat delivered in January 2024, the "YAMAHA YFR-27HMEX". It comes with a toilet, shower, air conditioning, cabin, and sunshade awning, so women and children can feel safe. The capacity is 10 people, but because the sea in Okinawa in winter has high waves, up to 5 customers excluding the captain and staff can board. It is just the right size for one group to charter. The engine is YAMAHA's latest model "V-type 6-cylinder model F250N". The fuel is gasoline instead of diesel, so the clean exhaust gas does not bother you with smells or noise.

The course organizer is a CMAS instructor (diving), ISA instructor (surfing), SUPA instructor (SUP), Chatan Fisheries Cooperative Association member (diver fisherman), and Okinawa marine sports instructor with over 22 years of experience (as of 2024), and is a specialist in the ocean, so he has devised a course that will allow guests to enjoy the Okinawan ocean even more. The staff are also certified by the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission, so you can enjoy the course with peace of mind.

The port is in the very popular town of Chatan, with many resort hotels, shopping centers and restaurants, and Chatan Fisherina is the closest to the tourist spot, American Village, so it has excellent access and atmosphere. You can choose between morning and afternoon, and there are two half-day courses per day, so it is recommended for those who want to make the most of their time after arriving in Okinawa, on the morning of their last day, or for those who have a lot of plans during their stay.
