Hokkaido Net Celeb Christmas Tree (about 15 minutes) Christmas Tree Tree Yule Tree is a spruce tree located on a gentle hillside in Biei Town, southeast of Asahikawa City. There are various theories about the origin of the name, such as that the shape of the tree resembles a Christmas tree or that the tip of the tree resembles a Christmas tree. The tree represents the shape of a star, that is, the name is related to a Christmas tree without decorations. This Christmas tree, which is beautiful day and night regardless of the season, is one of the most popular trees in Biei. ★ When taking photos, please "step back" and stand on the asphalt road to take a look. Biei Blue Pond (about 30 minutes) Located on the left bank of the Biei River in Hokkaido, it was formed by a dam built to hold back volcanic magma. It was named after the blue reflection of the pond's water when sunlight hits it. Shirakushi Falls (about 20 minutes) Shirakane Falls in Furano City, Hokkaido, is a waterfall with a drop of 30 meters and an altitude of 600 meters in the Shirogane Onsen area of Biei Town. It was named "Shiratsu Falls" because the water flows like a white beard from the gaps in the rocks. Return to Sapporo city and end your day trip happily! You can see animals living vibrantly in various places, such as the "Penguin House" where animals can swim freely through an underwater tunnel, the "Seal House" where seals go up and down a cylindrical tank, the "Polar Bear House" where you can see them diving spectacularly into the pool, the "Orangutan House" where you can take an aerial stroll through a 17m-high tower, the "Hippo House" where you can see them swimming in the pool from directly below, the "Red-Crowned Crane House," the "Ezo Deer Forest," and the "Hokkaido Animal House," which are unique to Hokkaido zoos. In 2022, the "Ezo Brown Bear House" will open, allowing you to get up close and personal with Hokkaido's representative wild animals in an indoor enclosure modeled after Shiretoko. Its appearance can also change depending on the season, wind, clouds, and rain. This famous pond has become Apple's desktop wallpaper used worldwide. But more importantly, it has become a spiritual place for many.
