Plan description

We will carefully explain Nikka Whisky's commitment to craftsmanship and the whiskey production process at Miyagikyo Distillery. At Miyagikyo Distillery, different types of malt whiskey are produced, broadening the range of individuality of single malt and blended whiskey. The Miyagikyo Key Malt Whisky Seminar is a special tour course different from the usual factory tour, where the instructor will guide you through the whiskey production process and you will taste Miyagikyo single malt key malt and grain whiskey. At the tasting, you can enjoy tastings of the single malt key malt that is only available at the distillery. ~Seminar Outline~ 1. Video screening and explanation about whiskey (approx. 20 minutes) 2. Distillery tour (approx. 40 minutes) 3. Tasting seminar (approx. 30 minutes)

If you arrive by car

From the Sendai Miyagi IC on the Tohoku Expressway, take National Route 48 towards Yamagata for approximately 30 minutes. Parking: 100 cars, 8 large buses. *We do not serve alcohol to drivers or people under the age of 20.

If you arrive by train

40 minute walk from JR Senzan Line "Sakunami Station" *On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, a shuttle bus operates from JR Senzan Line "Sakunami Station".

If you arrive by other means of transportation

10 minutes walk from the Sendai City Bus "Nikkabashi" stop
