Sansuke Kudo built this well, which is 6,000 meters long, in an era when there was no heavy machinery. How did you create that well? And how did Sansuke overcome the many troubles that occurred to create Iji? ? ? This is a rare tour where you can explore the historic Dairyuji Road on the popular packraft while listening to the stories of Sansuke Kudo, the superhero of the historical area! !

★Sansuke Kudo, the great man who created Dairyuiji The area around Hasama-cho where Sansuke Kudo lived was mountainous and the conditions of the rice fields were very poor, so there was little rice to harvest, so people had nothing to eat. I was having a really hard time. When Sansuke Kudo was 15 years old, he decided to open a canal to distribute water to the fields in this area. I found a water source when I was 28 years old, and started and completed construction when I was 38 years old. It was technically very difficult to dig waterways without using the heavy machinery that we use today. Furthermore, it was not normally possible for people to travel across Japan's "hans" for construction work, which would be similar to traveling between countries today. Therefore, Sansuke Kudo spent his life accomplishing this feat by using various ingenuity and wisdom. Even now, the region uses this canal to bring water to its fields, and thanks to this canal, it is able to grow both rice and vegetables. The total length of the waterway is 6000 meters. A statue of Sansuke Kudo still stands at a local elementary school and is worshiped by the people. The Dalongjing Road, which is traveled by packraft, is only about knee to thigh deep, but because of the current, the packraft can proceed without paddling.
