Plan description

It is an experience of making oyaki at Kayabuki no Yakata, an inn in the valley of Shinshu. What is "oyaki"? What is it for non-Shinshu people? I'm feeling? Oyaki is made by dissolving wheat flour in water, kneading it, and wrapping bean paste made from red beans and vegetables. To put it plainly, is it a bun? ?? This is made all over Nagano prefecture, and the taste varies depending on the shop and home. At Kayabuki no Yakata, the surface is lightly baked by steaming. The skin and the bean paste inside are all handmade! It will be an experience of making such Shinshu soul food "Oyaki" with a local mother. In Shinshu, people of all ages are enjoying themselves. Rest assured that a local veteran mom will teach you carefully! If you come to Shinshu, please try this Shinshu soul food "Oyaki" first!

The bean paste inside is also handmade without additives!

At Kayabuki no Yakata, we sell red bean paste, Nozawana, and Kiriboshi daikon as standard products. In the experience, you will make these three standard types. A red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans and finished with a modest sweetness. Shinshu specialty Nozawana pickles. Nozawana pickles are used after being aged for 2 years to remove the salt horns. The taste of mom, simmered dried daikon radish. All are finished in the taste of a simple country mother.

Fast and slow traditional local food

From the Jomon archaeological site in Nagano Prefecture, traces of kneading and baking millet flour have been found, and it is said that this is the root of "oyaki". If you stick to it, you can spend as much time and effort as you like, Oyaki. Nowadays, the coronavirus is widespread and changes are coming to our daily lives. I think many people feel that food safety and the enjoyment of eating have become important. However, if you are busy every day and your daily meals are neglected ... In such a case, we recommend this Shinshu food culture "Oyaki"! If you reheat it in the microwave or toaster, it's easy to eat deliciously at any time. You can hold it with one hand and eat while walking! But it's delicious and healthy! Local agricultural products are wrapped. You can feel the season. For rice and snacks! Shinshu's food culture has different tastes depending on the area, shop, and home! It's slow food, but it's a oyaki that suits the fast modern society.
