Plan description

A walk through the history of Kuroe Laquer Ware Town with the storyteller. A unique landscape of lacquer ware town has been formed in the history of 400 years, and you can enjoy a walk through the streets of Kuroe, which has been certified as a Japanese heritage, while listening to the story of the storyteller. The characteristic "saw-toothed" townscape of Kuroe can be seen in the narrow alleys north and south, including Kawabata Street, which is about 200 meters away. Originally, Kuroe lacquer ware began in the Muromachi period and prospered greatly in the Edo period under the protection of the clan. With the prosperity of lacquer ware, the Kuroe area, which became too small, was gradually reclaimed to form the current section. A unique landscape of lacquer ware town will be formed, such as a townhouse with a Kyoto-style and quaint "Renko lattice" appearance, and a saw-toothed townscape.
