Item No. P017107 ● "Kengo Kuma Exhibition Five Principles of Cats to Create New Publicity" (Date: June 18-September 26, 2021 Venue: Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art) At the main venue of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics 2020 Representing modern Japan, such as participating in the design of the planned "National Stadium" and "V & A Dundee", which was selected as one of the "100 Most Wonderful Places to Visit in the World in 2019" by TIME magazine. Kengo Kuma (1954-), one of the architects. In this exhibition, 68 highly public buildings selected by Kuma himself from works scattered all over the world are not chronologically selected, but are called "holes", "particles", "soft", "diagonal", and "time". We will classify them according to the five principles that Kuma thinks, and introduce all the points with explanations of the works by Kuma himself. In addition, we will also announce a research project "Tokyo Plan 2020 Cat-chan Architecture 5656 Principles" (in collaboration with Takram) that reviews life in the city from the perspective of cats. ● Guided tour and French course lunch at the Tokyo Station Hotel We will guide you through the historic "Tokyo Station Hotel", which opened in 1915, the year after the opening of Tokyo Station, with the guide of the hotel staff. (Room tours have been canceled.) A Japanese garden, imperial facilities, and the remains of Edo Castle are left in the lush thickets, and you can enjoy the scenery of about 350 hydrangeas from the beginning of June.
