Winter limited (December to March) Special Common ticket for 2 buildings [Korakukan + Kosaka Mine Office]
This is a great set plan that includes a special guide tour of the Meiji playhouse "Korakukan" with some experiences + ticket of "Kosaka Mine Office".

At Korakukan, in addition to the usual guided tour, you can also experience the turning stage and wooden clappers, which you cannot experience during the regular drama playing period!

At Meiji period's playhouse "Korakukan", Japan's oldest wooden theater was built in 1910, and it is still active over 100 years! A regular performance of traditional popular drama (Taishu-engeki) is played from April to November.
The performances by "Shitamachi Kabuki-gumi" are provided twice or third times in a day depends on the months every year.
There is no regular drama playing during the winter, but we open throughout the year except year-end and New Year holidays, and you can enjoy the facility tour by the guide staff. (Excluding rentals and special performances)

Kosaka Town in Akita was thriving in Kosaka mine. In 1910, the Meiji playhouse “Korakukan” was built as a welfare facility for Kosaka Mine's employees and their families.
The theater is western style outside but with a pure Japanese style inside. It is characterized by the unique combination of both Japanese and Western styles.
The Korakukan facility tour will be guided by the actual staff who is dressing all in black costume as a Kuroko which are stagehands in traditional Japanese theater, or knowledgeable guide staff.
Please enjoy the back stage of the living playhouse!

After a guided tour, why not take a break with a delicious, warm, freshly brewed coffee?
You can see the historic stage from the Sajiki seats, which are usually crowded with many customers during the drama playing season.
Please also enjoy a coffee break while enjoying a luxurious space and time.
* Freshly brewed coffee is available as option. (1 cup 350 yen)

You can also enjoy to learn the history and culture of Kosaka Mine by visiting the Kosaka Mine Office built in 1905.
