Start climbing from the Amagi Plateau Parking Lot, go between the natural forest and the afforestation zone, and head for Mt. Manjiro (1,300m). If you go up this mountain trail and the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji in the north, the Minami-Alps, and Izu Oshima and Niijima in the southeast. This is a course where you can enjoy climbing flowers such as Amagi rhododendron and Tosugakutsutsu Azalea, climbing Mt. Mansaburo (1,406m), one of Japan's top 100 mountains. This is a general route with a course time of about 6 hours (including break time).
Recently, the number of people who are visiting 100 famous mountains is increasing, mainly among middle-aged and elderly people, but this plan allows you to climb Mt. Mansaburo (1,406m), the highest peak of Izu, in the Amagi massif!
You can see the flowers such as Amagi Rhododendron, which is endemic to Mt. Amagi, and Rhododendron communis, in full bloom.
If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji and the 3,000-class mountains of the Southern Alps in the north, and the seven islands of Izu such as Izu Oshima and Niijima in the southeast direction!
