This is a cycling tour where you can explore World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine of Miyajima and famous 5 temples of Aki with a long and distinguished history in Hatsukaichi, a city located on the opposite shore.
You will cycle around historical sites and moreover, you can enjoy Seto Inland sea view.
On your visit of Miyajima Shrine, you will have lunch at cafe used by local residents only, located inside the Momijidani park where you can also see deer.
※Rental bicycles BIKKE are produced by Bridgestone and
all bicycles are electric power-assisted.
※All bicycles are suitable for people over 145 cm tall and the saddles are adjustable.
※English speaking guide is available.
The tour is conducted by an elite rider of Hiroshima team.
Akihiro Nomura is an experienced guide who has worked with many foreign tourists.
As a professional cyclist he has organized regional races and cycling events for 125 times within the last 2 years.
The Nomura's cycling tour with an English interpreter would definitely be a special experience.
①JR Sanyo Honsen 「Hatsukaichi Station」North Exit, Assemble at 9:45. ※Electric power assisted bicycles will be provided.
②Go towards Hatsukaichi Tenmangu Shrine which worships God of Gakumon (study) and Sugawara no Michizane.
③Next is Hayatani Shrine with 1800 years of history which is believed to be a soshin (an ancestor god) of Aki State.
④We will take ferry to Miyajima
After having lunch at Momijidani park,
we will go to Itsukushima Shrine, Japan's one of the best famous shrines with a history of 1400 years.
⑤We will cycle around the wooden daikyodo which is called「Senjokaku 」due to its size equal to 857 tatami mats.
⑥Return by ferry to Hatsukaichi
⑦Finally we will visit Jigozen Shrine which was built as a
geku (outer part) of Itsukushima Shrine.
※In Jigozen "gozen" means Itskushima.
⑧Return to JR Sanyo Honsen Hatsukaichi Statin North Exit and photo shooting.

We can provide raincoats. Please come in comfortable clothes and shoes. You can use station lockers to storage your luggage. ●Bicycles are also vehicles. Keep to the left of the road and follow the traffic rules for your safety. ●Cycling side by side, a zigzag cycling and racing are strictly prohibited. Drink and drive, two people riding one bike are also prohibited. ●Keep your distance from the car ahead and watch your front and back attentively. ●When cycling on sidewalks, please slow down your speed and be careful not to disturb pedestrians. ●If you have a helmet, please put on for your safety. |

JR「Hatsukaichi」North Exit Assembly（9:45）
Hatsukaichi Tenmangu In 1233, a priest of Itsukushima Shrine, Fujiwarano Chikazane transferred from Egara Tenjin Shrine of Kamakura and built a sanctuary in Sasao Mountain.
The Hayatani Shrine It is known as a shrine to pray for traffic safety.
To Miyajima I will take a ferry and move to Miyajima. Miyajima contact Ferry fare (round trip: 560 yen) · Adult 1 person: 360 yen round trip · 1 bicycle: round trip 200 yen
