Let’s visit Mido, the main hall of Daisho-in, which is considered to be the oldest temple in Miyajima of Aki.
We will see a historical Fudo Myo-o, which is the Important National Cultural Property and the Eleven-faced Kannon Bosatsu known as a Honjibutsu (the main Buddha) of Itsukushima Myojin.​ ​
Monks will give a detailed explanation while guiding you around.​ ​​ ​

※English interpreter is available and all participants will be given free English guide books 'Daihonzan Daisho-in Temple of Miyajima Misen'.

Monks can provide you with a detailed history of Itsukushima syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism as well as a history of Daisho-in Temple, which you may not find in the guidebooks.​ ​

Temple gates called「Niomon」which is the front entrance to Daisho-in and stone stairs with 98 steps starting from the gates to the precincts are very beautiful.​ ​

You can enjoy birds singing as well as occasional sounds of a temple bell.
