Matsui Honwa Candle Studio, founded in 1907, offers a hands-on plan where you can paint Japanese candles. Japanese candles are carefully made one by one by skilled craftsmen. It was also selected as a gift for world leaders at the 2016 Ise-Shima Summit-related event. After the experience, if the craftsman is making a Japanese candle, you can also observe it. (You can reserve a tour in advance.)

初めてでしたが、親切にお姉さんが教えてくださいました。3人でお邪魔して、2人が体験、1人見学させて頂きました。
ご主人も気さくな方で、蝋燭を作っているところを直ぐそばで見ることが出来、世間話や質問にも答えてくださいました。
ご家族で工房を経営されてて、この日はご主人と絵付けを教えてくれた娘さんでした。カッコイイ職業で羨ましいです、その娘さんの絵付け蝋燭の販売もあったのでいくつかお土産に購入しました。また可愛い柄の蝋燭を買いに行きます。
