Founded in the Nara period, Eizan-ji Temple continues to carry on 1,300 years of prayer to the present day with a special guided tour led by a monk. You will get a close-up look at the National Treasure Octagonal Hall and the secret Buddha statue of Yakushi Nyorai, and will receive a detailed explanation of the story behind its construction and the merits of the Buddha.
